Heavy Duty Cages Frequently asked questions:

Q: Are the cages stackable?  A: Yes they are stackable the cages have feet so you can use undertank heat, there is also velcro pads for the feet so they won't slide around on each other.

Q: How do you heat these cages?  A: Under tank heat mats, heat tape, or radiant heat panels.  (It's always a good idea to use a thermostat with any heating device.)

Q: How are the cages secured closed?  A: They have turn buttons at the top of each door.  Just turn your turn buttons to the closed position and your animals is secure.

Q: Do you offer keyed locks?  A: Yes we do, they are an option you can ad to your cages.  Great to keep the kids out of the cages. Only way they could get in with our locking option is if you let them get your keys, or leave the door unlocked..

Q: Are the cages escape proof?  A: You bet, I use these cages myself and have never had 1 escape.  Unless you leave the door open your reptiles are NOT going to get out.

Q: Do these cages hold heat and humidity well?  A: Yes they do, we designed our cages to hold heat, and humidity. I get perfect sheds every time in these.

Q: Why is a plastic cage that is heat bent good?  A: A heat bent cage is less seperate peices the body of the cage is one peice wrapping, and sealing the ends into one solid unit.

Q: Is the plastic these cages are made of safe for my reptile to be in?  A: Yes, It is high denstiy polyethelene, drinking water runs to most homes in pipe made of the same plastic.

Q: Why do you claim these cages are stronger than the rest on the market?  A: Our construction method makes the cage become one solid unit after it is made.  We also use stronger solid plastic.

Q: How thick is the plastic?  A: It is 1/4 inch thick all around.

Q: How thick are the doors, and what are they made of?  A: they are also 1/4 inch thick and are made of clear acyrilic. (plexiglass)

Q: You say they are heat bent and plastic welded, Whats the difference between a true plastic weld and what the other companys do?  A:  A true plastic weld is the same material the cage is made of (in rod form) melted into the seams by hot air.  The rod is melted and so are the 2 peices the weld is coming in contact with, making 1 solid unit.  No fumes to deal with it's just plastic on plastic.   Most other cages are "chemicaly bonded" It involves noxious chemicals that bond the peices together.

Q: How long does it take to get one made?  Usualy 3 weeks or less, with our other orders being made, we might even have cages in stock when you order.

Q: I live in WA state can I pick one up? A: You bet if your close enough that the drive isn't to bad call and come on by the shop.  You can see what goes into making these cages, and save a few bucks by not having to pay for shipping.

Q: What if my cage is broken during shipping?  A:  This doesn't happen often, but let us know about it immedeatly, we insure the cages when they ship out.  Our shipper will take the damaged cage back, and we will replace it for you free of any charge.
